Hemingford Grey is one of the most desirable villages in Cambridgeshire. It has a thriving year round community (cricket on the green in summer, regattas on the Ouse, an active church and village hall) alongside picturebook period architecture and an Outstanding rated primary. Buyers often look at both Hemingfords interchangeably, with Grey being the slightly larger and busier of the two.

The Manor is a 12th century Norman house, widely cited as the oldest continuously inhabited house in England. It was the home of children's author Lucy M. Boston and inspired her Green Knowe novels.
